Borussia Dortmund extended their unbeaten run and moved nine points clear at the Bundesliga summit after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Werder Bremen. Paco Alcacer and Marco Reus moved Dortmund two goals ahead in the space of eight minutes. Alcacer scored in the 17th minute and Reus doubled the lead in 27th for the hosts. Eight minutes later Max Kruse pulled one back for the visitors in a frenetic first half. The second half remained goalless and Dortmund won the battle 2-1 with the final whistle.
