AC Milan remained on course in their pursuit of Champions League football when they won 2-1 at bottom club Chievo in Serie A on Saturday. The former Argentina international curled the ball over the wall and into the top corner of Stefano Sorrentino's net. Following the goal, Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso was sent to the stands by referee Luca Pairetto after an altercation on the touchline. With four minutes of the first half remaining, the home side drew level. Perparim Hetemaj slotted home from Mehdi Leris' cross. Krzysztof Piatek sealed maximum points for Milan with the winner in the 57th minute.
