Banned cricketer S Sreesanth has approached the Supreme Court for his ban against him imposed by the BCCI. Sreesanth believes that the life ban imposed on him by is "too harsh" and he wants this ban to be lifted by the board since he is now acquitted by a Delhi court in the sensational 2013 spot-fixing case. Senior advocate Salman Khurshid is appearing for Sreesanth. A bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan and Ajay Rastogi noted that appeal against the 2015 order of the trial court is pending before the Delhi High Court and the hearing is scheduled in the second week of January. So, the bench will now hear the matter on 3rd week of January.
