Cricket News: Pandya and KL Rahul tender unconditional apology

Suspended cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have tendered an unconditional apology to BCCI in response to fresh show cause notice that was served to them for their comments during a TV chat show. The two young cricketers’ comments in a popular TV show did not go down well with the audiences who were outraged by the ‘crass’ comments made by the duo. In response to the apology, CoA chief Vinod Rai said that the BCCI should correct the two players, not end their careers. However, despite the apologies tendered by the duo, 10 BCCI units demanded a Special General Meeting to appoint an ombudsman for carrying out an inquiry. Rai’s fellow CoA member Diana Edulji wants an inquiry done by CoA and the BCCI office-bearers.
