KL Rahul played a captain's knock against Punjab in Indian Premier League 2020 scoring a record-breaking 132 not out off just 69 balls against Bangalore to register their first win of the season. Rahul's knock is the highest individual score by an Indian in IPL helped KXIP score 206/3 in their 20 overs. During his knock, Rahul also crossed the 2,000-run mark. In reply, the Virat Kohli-led RCB capitulated and were bundled out for 109 in just 17 overs as Punjab bowlers came up with a clinical performance. Bangalore were outplayed in every department of the game as after Rahul's heroic knock, the Punjab bowlers too rose to the occasion with Murugan Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi scalping three wickets each and Sheldon Cottrell bagging 2. Mohammed Shami and Glenn Maxwell took one wicket each as Punjab registered a thumping 97 run win over Bangalore.
