With development of the women’s cricket in the country and the impressive performance in the recent World T20 in the West Indies where the Indian women’s team reached the semi- finals. Veteran India pacer Jhulan Goswami has suggested that the BCCI can set up a separate Women’s T20 league comprising of 4 to 5 teams. She also stated that the BCCI can check with the IPL Franchises if they are willing to start a women’s team of their own. If even four teams are willing, we should be start a women’s IPL with four teams, and involve the best foreign players and our local and international Indian cricketers.”
