Opting to bat first after winning the toss Mumbai team got off to a flying start with skipper Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock scoring 49 runs in 4.5 overs. After de Kock's discussion in-form Suryakumar Yadav came in and played the anchor with an unbeaten 79 off 47 with 11 fours and 2 sixes. All these performances helped Mumbai score 196/4 in 20 overs. Chasing a big total, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got out in the first over off Trent Boult. Skipper Steve Smith and in-form Sanju Samson also got out cheaply with Rajasthan tottering at 12/3. Despite Jos Buttler's 70 off 44 balls crumbled to 136 all out in 18.1 overs. Bumrah finished with a performance of 4/20 and was well-supported by fellow pacers Trent Boult and James Pattinson who bagged 2 wickets each.
