Hyderabad beat Delhi by 15 runs at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi to register their maiden win of IPL 2020 with the help of some good batting by their top order and a fine performance from their bowling attack. Put into bat Hyderabad got off to a steady start with Jonny Bairstow scoring a half-century. Skipper David Warner contributed with 45 off 33 balls and Kane Williamson scored 41 off 26 balls to take Hyderabad to 162/4 in 20 overs. Kagiso Rabada & Amit Mishra bagged 2 wickets each. Leg-spinner Rashid Khan spun a web and bagged three wickets as Hyderabad restricted Delhi to 147/7 in 20 overs. None of the Delhi batsmen could even cross the 40-run mark with Shikhar Dhawan top-scoring with 34 and Rishabh Pant scoring 28. The defeat sees Delhi slide down to second relinquishing their top spot to Rajasthan with their net run rate falling. Hyderabad were bottom of the table coming into the match and have now gone up to 6th spot leapfrogging Kolkata and Chennai who are now at the last spot.
