Cricket News: India favourite to win World Cup, says Kapil Dev

Former India captain Kapil Dev has pegged India as one of the top three favourites to win the World Cup, which starts later this month, saying their pace bowling would come good in seaming English conditions. India’s 15-member squad boasts of experienced players like Dhoni, Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan along with in-form youngsters such as Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav. Kapil, who has also coached the Indian team in 1999-2000, predicted that Kohli and Co. will reach the semi-finals alongside hosts England and defending champions Australia. The former captain also shared his views on the team which can spring surprise in the upcoming ICC World Cup.
