India once again outplayed New Zealand two win the 2nd ODI comfortably by 90 runs and in turn went 2 nil up in the series with 3 ODI still left to be played. Once again it was the Indian openers who provided the team a solid start by putting up 154 runs for the first wicket. With the ideal platform set by the openers India ended up with 324 runs on the board with Rohit Sharma being the top scorer with 87 runs. New Zealand in their chase kept on losing wickets at regular interval which in turn hampered their chase and they were all out for 234 in the 40th over. Kuldeep Yadav was once again the pick of the bowlers grabbing 4-45.
