Promoting domestic cricket within the country has always been on the top agenda for BCCI and it grabbed a pace ever since the time Sourav Ganguly, who is currently in quarantine, became the president of the board. But in a surprising move, which also irked some of the BCCI officials and domestic cricketers, Indian Cricketers’ Association chairman Ashok Malhotra said that fate of domestic cricketers doesn’t matter to him or the ICA and that he is only concerned about the demands made by them. BCCI’s Apex Council is to take place today which will highlight various issues for the development of cricket in the country. Malhotra added that though there are a lot of things on BCCI’s agenda ahead of the meeting, he is only worried about the requirements of ICA.
