The Board of Control for Cricket in India, headed by former Mumbai Team India captain Saurabh Ganguly, approved laxity in the tenure of its officials. The decision was taken at the 88th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of BCCI. This could extend the 9-month tenure of the current chairman of the board, Saurabh Ganguly. It was decided by the Supreme Court to lax mandatory administrative reforms at the board's AGM. However, approval of the Supreme Court will be required for this.
