Cricket News: Anti-doping agenda on cards in BCCI-ICC meeting

It has been confirmed that a formal interaction between the Board of Control for Cricket in India and International Cricket Council will take place in Mumbai on Monday. All three members of the Committee of Administrators, Vinod Rai, Diana Edulji and Lieutenant General Ravi Thodge, will have a discussion with ICC chairman Shashank Manohar. The ICC chairman wants to clear the air on the matter as the BCCI has been reluctant to recognise NADA as World Anti-Doping Agency’s nodal agency in India. In the meeting it will be explained to the BCCI managers that the ICC cannot be a part of the Olympic charter without getting WADA recognition. It has to be noted that all other ICC members, barring the BCCI, are WADA-compliant.
