Cricket News: Anshuman Gaekwad to be a part of BCCI's apex council

Former India cricketer and coach Anshuman Gaekwad is going to be male representative of the Indian Cricketers' Association to the Apex Council of the BCCI. With 471 votes Anshuman Gaekwad beats another former India cricketer Kirti Azad who got 381. Former India women captain Shanta Rangaswamy became the female ICA representative by being the only nominee for the post. Former India batsman Ashok Malhotra will take charge as the ICA President, again by being the only nominee for the position. Former India wickets-keeper batsman Surinder Khanna is elected as the ICA representative to the Governing Council of the Indian Premier League. BCCI's 9-member apex council that will be finalised during the board elections later this month.
