Boxing News: Indian pugilists shine at Indian Open Boxing tournament

Indian pugilists are ruling the roost in the Indian Open International boxing tournament being held Guwahati in Assam. Local lad and World championship bronze medallist Shiva Thapa progressed to the semifinals of the A seasoned Shiva Thapa clinically executed his plans to outsmart his taller opponent Hellene Damien from Mauritius 5-0 and set up a semifinal clash against D Krystian Sczepanski of Poland in the 60 weight kg category. Asian Games gold medallist Amit Panghal also lived upto his billing reaching the semifinals in 52 kg category. Panghal will take on reigning national champion PL Prasad in the semifinal.
