Boxing News: Amit Panghal gets his personal coach at national camp in Bellary

Good news has come in for Indian boxer and Olympic medal hope Amit Panghal who has now got his personal coach Anil Dhankar at the ongoing men’s national boxing camp in Bellary to guide him ahead of the preparations for future tournaments including Tokyo Olympics 2021. Dhankar’s appointment as a coach has not been easy as it witnessed a lot of drama over the past two weeks where he suddenly found his boxing qualification being changed from a veteran coach to motivator. Panghal had also written to the Sports Authority of India’s Target Olympic Podium Scheme division over the matter and indicated a ‘typo error’ from BFI for ‘mistakenly’ addressing Dhankar as a motivator.
