Badminton News: Sindhu & Saina gear-up for Thailand Open

Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu is looking to end her seven-month long title drought with the Thailand Open badminton tournament beginning in Bangkok. Sindhu was knocked by Akane Yamaguchi in both the Indonesia Open and the Japan Open by the same opponent Japan's Akane Yamaguchi. London Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal is seeded seventh in Thailand Open. Saina's progress has been hampered by several injuries off late. Saina was forced to withdraw from both the Indonesia and Japan Opens on medical grounds as she is focussing on getting into shape for next month's World Championships.
