Badminton News: Mixed day for India in Syed Modi International Tournament

Former champion Kidambi Srikanth and Sourabh Verma advanced to the quarterfinals but Parupalli Kashyap, B Sai Praneeth and young Lakshya Sen were knocked out in the men's singles draw at the Syed Modi International Badminton tournament in Lucknow. The 2016 champion Srikanth beat compatriot Parupalli Kashyap 18-21 22-20 21-16 in a thrilling 3-game battle. The third seed Indian will next square off against seventh seed Son Wan Ho of Korea.
