Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth’s poor run of form continues as he was knocked out of the Korea Masters after losing 14-21, 19-21 to Japan's Kanta Tsuneyama in the 2nd round in Gwangju. In his first meeting with Tsuneyama Srikanth got off to a worst possible losing six consecutive points in the opening game. Srikanth failed to threaten in the second game as well, conceding a four-point gap to Tsuneyama and could not recover from there. Saina Nehwal had pulled out of the tournament in Gwangju, meaning there was no Indian participation in women's singles.
