Badminton News: Gopichand speaks exclusively to Power Sportz

The nation’s top oil PSU organized a one day ‘Sports Conclave 2018’ in New Delhi to felicitate the sportspersons who have been associated with them from their early days and who have made a mark in the sporting arena. They also announced fresh initiatives to boost sports in the country. The conclave was attended by more than 60 sportspersons including Manika Batra, Rohan Bopanna, P Kashyap, A Sharath Kamal among others. In the backdrop of the event, P Gopichand shared the insights in the training of two of the most celebrated badminton players of the country PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal. Gopichand said that marriage has made Saina stronger than before as with P Kashyap at his side she becomes more confident. On Sindhu, the coach said that she has been a top notch player for India but she has not been able to keep up with form as injuries have been a major concern but at the same breath he added that Sindhu will come out strong.
