Australian Open : Nadal receives congratulatory messages from Djokovic and Federer

Soon after Rafa Nadal became the most successful male tennis player in history by winning his 21st Grand Slam title at the 2022 Australian Open on Sunday, his great rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic sent messages of congratulation via social media.

Federer said on Instagram, "To my friend and great rival Rafa Nadal. Heartfelt congratulations on becoming the first man to win 21 Grand Slam singles titles. A few months ago we were joking about both being on crutches. Amazing. Never underestimate a great champion."

Djokovic said on Twitter, "Congratulations to Rafa Nadal for 21st GS. Amazing achievement. Always impressive fighting spirit that prevailed another time. Enhorabuena (congratulations)."

In an epic final at the Rod Laver Arena, Nadal had to fight back from two sets down to beat Daniil Medvedev 2-6, 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4, 7-5 in a match that lasted almost five and-a-haf hours.
