India’s top squash player Dipika Pallikal Karthik settled for a bronze medal on day 7 at the Asian Games 2018. This medal is Dipika’s second at the Asian Games, after losing her semi-final match to Malaysia's Nicole David who is one of the most formidable players the game has seen. The Indian women shuttlers came up with facing saving victories to enter the quarter-finals of the women’s badminton championships. While Saina Nehwal overcame the challenge of Fitriani Fitriani 21-6, 21-14 in a lop-sided contest, whereas Sindhu beat Mariska 21-12, 21-15 to make the last eight grades.
