Tokyo Olympics : Wrestler Ravi Dahiya to fight for gold

Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya defeated Nurislam Sanayev of Kazakhstan in the semi-finals of the men's Freestyle 57 kg wrestling and assured the country of at least a silver medal by qualifying for the final. The Haryana lad was trailing 2-9 but he turned it around and won the match by fall. Deepak Punia lost 10-0 against David Morris of USA in men's Freestyle 86 kg wrestling semifinals and failed to add to the wrestling medals tally for the day. Punia will now play for bronze tomorrow. Punia is playing his 1st Olympics and gave a great account of himself as he had made it to the semifinals of 86kg category. Wrestler Anshu Malik is through to the repechage round after Iryna Kurachkina of Bulgaria, who she lost to in the first round, reached the final. Anshu is now two wins away from the bronze medal. All eyes will be on Indian wrestlers as the stage is set for them and especially for Ravi Dahiya as he is on the verge of creating a history a win will make him the first ever grappler from India to win an Olympic gold.
