Tokyo Olympics : Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu wins silver medal in Tokyo Olympics

Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu wins India's first medal at Tokyo Olympics with a silver in women's 49kg. Her best in Snatch was 87 kg and in Clean & Jerk 115 kg, which gave her a combined weight of 202kg. China's Zhihui Hou wins gold with a new Olympic record combined weight of 210kg. Bronze went to Cantika Aisah of Indonesia for lifting a combined weight of 194kg. This is India's second medal in weightlifting as Karnam Malleswari won a bronze medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. India has won its first weightlifting medal after 21 years and Mirabai Chanu is the first Indian weightlifter to win a silver medal. India opened its medal account on the first day of the competition.
