Italy's Roberto Marcora stunned top seed Benoit Paire of France in straight sets to reach the quarter-finals at the Maharashtra Open. The 30-year-old Marcora recorded the upset of the tournament in Pune, when he ousted top seed Benoit Paire 6-4, 6-4 to reach last eight of the tournament. The world number 174 Marcora had not won a tour-level match ever prior to this week.
