Greek ninth seed Maria Sakkari recorded an impressive straight-set 7-5, 6-4 victory over Spanish fifth seed and two-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza on Sunday, which sealed her place in the Abu Dhabi Open quarter-finals where she will face top seed Sofia Kenin after the American battled past Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva in three sets.
