Tennis: Pliskova defeats Konta to win Italian Open title

Fourth seed Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic won her second WTA title of 2019 with victory in the Italian Open in Rome, beating Johanna Konta of Great Britain 6-3, 6-4.
