Tennis News: Sumit Nagal gets direct entry in US Open 2020 main draw

Indian tennis player Sumit Nagal gets a direct entry into the singles main draw of US Open 2020 after several top players including defending champion Rafael Nadal pulled out of the Grand Slam starting August 31. Sumit Nagal is the lone Indian in the men's field with 132nd ranked Prajnesh Gunneswaran missing out. Not only defending champion Rafael Nadal and 20 time grand slam champion Roger Federer but former champion Stan Wawrinka, Nick Kyrgios, Fabio Fognini and Gael Monfils are the other top players missing from the men's field and all these have paved way for 22 year old Indian youngster Sumit Nagal to get a direct entry in US Open singles main draw.
