Tennis News : Medvedev on second round win over Paul at the French Open

Second seed Daniil Medvedev fought back from a set down to beat Tommy Paul in the second round of the French Open on Wednesday. American Paul converted a break in the sixth game into a one-set lead, but Medvedev then turned things around by taking the second set 6-1. Medvedev, who was playing in the second round at Roland Garros for the first time in his career, then won the third set 6-4 before breaking Paul twice at the start of the fourth set. The Russian dropped his serve twice from 4-1 up, but also claimed two more breaks of his own - the second to love - to seal a 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 win. Medvedev will face Paul's compatriot Reilly Opelka in the third round.
