Tennis: Halep trounces Kontaveit to reach Australian Open semi-finals

Simona Halep continued with her sublime form in the quarter-finals where she thrashed Anett Kontaveit in straight sets to enter the semi-finals of the Australian Open. Reigning Wimbledon champion Halep brilliantly took apart Kontaveit in just 53 minutes to race into the Australian Open last-4. Halep recorded a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Kontaveit in the quarter-finals. The 28-year-old Romanian will face Garbine Muguruza in the last four in Melbourne.
