Tennis: Fognini defeats Lenz to reach second round of Hamburg European Open

Third seed Fabio Fognini of Italy defeated qualifier Julian Lenz of Germany 6-4, 6-4, after one hour and 17 minutes to reach the second round of the Hamburg European Open. The Italian now faces Rudolf Molleker of Germany in the second round.
