Tennis: Djokovic jokes that Medvedev may need to wait for Grand Slam win

Novak Djokovic said on Sunday that his "love affair keeps going" with the Australian Open after the 33-year-old won his ninth men's singles title at Melbourne Park - and 18th Grand Slam crown overall - following a straight-set, 7-5, 6-2, 6-2, victory over Russia's fourth seed Daniil Medvedev. Djokovic also praised the Australian Open organisers after they implemented COVID-19 protocols in order to stage the first Grand Slam of the year, and joked that he hoped Medvedev will wait "a few more years" before he claims a first major title, in order for himself to continue winning more.
