Tennis: Chardy fights back to beat Paire in first round of Hamburg European Open

France's Jeremy Chardy fought back a set down to defeat fellow country-men and fifth seed Benoit Paire 6-7, 7-5, 6-3 in two hours and 37 minutes to reach the second round of the Hamburg European Open.
