Womens Sports seems to be growing in a big way in India, across different sports. Its begun with the WPL opening up a series of opportunities for female cricketers not just in the country but also across the globe. The prestigious T20 tournament is in its half-way stage and it's setting the stage for other sports to follow suit. Talk of a Women's Kabaddi League seems to be next on the agenda
While still in its infancy, WPL certainly is spurring up the imagination of many young women who are now daring more to make their dreams come true!!!
One such example is a 10-yr-old little girl Kaya Kumar, an Indian-origin girl who hails from Australia who craved to play for the West Sydney cricket team and also to score 1000 runs. She achieved them both. Kaya has now been selected to represent the NSW state in the national championship to be held in June in Darwin, and she seems to be inspired to dream and achieve more
