A sigh of relief has come to all the sports fans and players all across the globe as COVID-19 protocols are being slashed in wake of lowering numbers in coronavirus cases
PREMIER LEAGUE has recently said that it has decided to remove a number of COVID-19 emergency measures
Wearing face coverings in indoor areas is one of the COVID-19 emergency measures that the PREMIER LEAGUE has decided to remove
Over 20 games were called off in December and January due to COVID-19 outbreaks at several clubs
The League had adopted emergency measures such as increased testing of players and club staff
However, the number of cases has since come down to manageable levels, the League has said COVID-19 emergency measures like lateral-flow testing will revert to twice weekly
COVID-19 protocols are also being eased in CRICKET, where earlier, strict measures were being followed by support staff as well as players
Since  the number of cases is coming down, the cricket boards of different nations are planning to conduct games in presence of spectators
Recently, the Cricket Association of Bengal has requested the BCCI to allow spectators in the stadium for the upcoming T20I series between India and West Indies
