Tokyo 2020 President Seiko Hashimoto said on Friday that they have to make a decision as soon as possible regarding whether Japan will accept spectators from foreign countries at the Tokyo Olympics Games. Hashimoto said a quick decision is crucial to give clarity to Olympic partners and vendors on whether overseas visitors will be allowed entry to Japan for the Games. A five-party meeting including the International Olympic Committee and the Tokyo 2020 organising committee is scheduled to be held on Saturday during which the decision on whether to accept spectators from foreign countries is expected to be announced officially.
