News: Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju talks exclusively to PS

As a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports took on a unique way of combining cleanliness and fitness and organised the Fit India Plog Run. The nationwide movement 'Fit India' was flagged off by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi. Over 28 lakh people participated in the Fit India Plog Run organised in over 55,000 locations across the country. Sports Minister who cleaned up streets of Central Delhi as an activity, plogging combines the twin vision of a fit and clean India.
