Motorsport: Marquez fastest in practice ahead of first race of MotoGP season in Spain

Defending champion Marc Marquez recorded the fastest lap in Friday's practice sessions for the first race of the rescheduled MotoGP season - the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez. The Spaniard steered his Honda to a one minute, 37.350-second lap in the first session, with 2019 championship runner-up Andrea Dovizioso second fastest and Cal Crutchlow third. Franco Morbidelli was fastest in the second session when the track temperature had dropped considerably, with the lack of grip leading to crashes for Marquez and his new team-mate - younger brother Alex. The Spanish Grand Prix will be the second race of the season for both the Moto2 and Moto3 classes, with Luca Marini setting the day's pace in the former and Gabriel Rodrigo leading the way in the latter - the two riders going fastest in both of their sessions.
