A six under par round of 64 propelled Malaysia's Gavin Green to the top of the leaderboard at the halfway mark at the European Masters event in Crans Montana, Switzerland on Friday. The 25 year-old winner of the 2017 Taiwan Masters holds a slender one shot lead over a group of five chasers on ten under. They include world number two Rory McIlroy - who signed for a seven-under par 63 - and his Ryder Cup teammate Tommy Fleetwood. Both were outshone by Argentina's Andres Romero though - he carded a remarkable nine under par 61. Austria's Matthias Schwab and Wade Ormsby of Austraia complete the quintet. England's Matthew Fitzpatrick, who was looking for a third consecutive win at Crans Montana this week, returned a second straight 69 and sits at 2-under, nine shots off the pace.
