Golf: First round action from the LPGA's Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational

Canadians Brooke Henderson and Alena Sharp combined for a five-under 65 on Wednesday (17 July) to take the first round lead at the LPGA's inaugural Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational at Midland Country Club. The tournament features two-golfer teams playing foursomes (alternate shot) during the first and third rounds and four ball (best ball) during the second and fourth, with a cut coming after the second. Paula Creamer and Morgan Pressel shot 66 to take second place, a stroke ahead of four teams - Minjee Lee/Jin Young Ko, Robyn Choi/Jacklyn Lee, Jasmine Suwannapura/Cydney Clanton and Amy Yang/Mirim Lee.
