Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Liverpool 2-1 in the third round of the FA Cup courtesy of a goal in each half from Raul Jimenez and Ruben Neves. Dejan Lovren was an early casualty for Liverpool after just six minutes at Molineux and was replaced by 16-year-old defender Ki-Jana However to become the club's youngest player to feature in a FA Cup tie. Molineux burst into life when Jimenez put the home side in front after 37 minutes when he capitalised on a mistake by Liverpool captain James Milner. Divock Origi brought Liverpool back into the tie after 51 minutes with a fine left-footed effort before Neves restored the hosts' lead through a fine 25-yard strike. Xherdan Shaqiri was inches from levelling for Liverpool with a free-kick but Wolves held on to knock out the Premier League leaders and progress to the FA Cup fourth round.
