Football: Saha welcomes worldwide anti-racism protests

Former Premier League striker Louis Saha has welcomed the anti-racism protests which have been taking place. Saha: "They are legitimate reactions, some can be extreme, some can be moderate, some are very diplomatic, some are willing to set up new things and all of it is great. It's been a long time that everyone wants to react or talk about that topic, otherwise, nothing changes. So I think all these reactions are welcome, we are so fed up of being rarely listened to, and when it happens, it lasts a month and then it's over. It comes from the top, what I mean is that things are changing because of the masses or because famous people start to talk, and start organising themselves and do things more strongly. You have to call it for what it is, which has not been the case all the time. We allow that community to rebel, but today this is the general community that is moving things. If people from all colours have the same message, I think this is much stronger than just the black community. When you listen to Lilian Thuram five or six years ago, or Colin Kaepernick three or four years ago, they were rebelling with class, let's say. But the message wasn't going through. Today, it sadly needed something very bad to shock people, from every community and culture. It's too much when you see it, it's too much, simple as that."
