Cristiano Ronaldo scored a close-range header 12 minutes from time to salvage a 2-2 draw for Juventus with Atalanta in the Serie A. An own goal from Berat Djimsiti had given Juventus an early lead, and when Rodrigo Bentancur hit the crossbar soon afterwards, they seemed to be in control of the game. But two goals from Duvan Zapata put hosts Atalanta ahead, while Juventus were reduced to ten men when Bentancur was shown a second yellow card early in the second half. Ronaldo entered the fray in the 65th minute and provided the goal-mouth finish from a Mario Mandzukic header to pull the visitors level, and they duly saw out the remainder of the game to enjoy a share of the points. Juventus now have a nine point cushion at the top of the table while Atalanta remain eighth.
