Uzbek champions PFC Lokomotiv Tashkent opened their 2019 AFC Champions League Group B campaign with a 2-0 win over Al Wahda, of the United Arab Emirates, on Monday. The hosts took the lead inside five minutes when Sardor Mirzayev's corner kick was headed across goal by Anzur Ismailov, before Temurkhuja Abdukholikov nodded the ball into the net. Lokomotiv had to settle for a one-goal advantage heading into the break after Diyorjon Turapov hit the post. The hosts got their second in second-half stoppage time when captain Islom Tukhtakhujaev curled in a free kick. Lokomotiv will next face Al Rayyan in the competition, while Al Wahda host Al Ittihad.
