Olympique Lyonnais women's team striker Ada Hegerberg has signed a ten-year sponsorship deal with Nike. Financial terms of the contract have not been revealed, but it has been reported that Hegerberg will earn an annual six-figure fee for the lifetime of the deal. Hegerberg won the inaugural women's Ballon d'Or award - for the world's best female player - in 2018 and has racked up four consecutive UEFA Women's Champions League and five consecutive Division 1 Feminine titles since joining Lyon in 2014. The 24-year-old is already the leading scorer in the history of the Women's Champions League, with 53 goals, and also grabbed 38 goals in 66 appearances for Norway. However, Hegerberg retired from the international stage in 2017 following a dispute with the Norwegian Football Federation over the body's treatment of the women's game.
