Football News : Liverpool and Manchester United monitoring Jamal Musiala move

Jamal Musiala recently hinted at a potential move to the Premier League, and Liverpool and Manchester United are apparently keeping a close eye on his status at Bayern Munich.

Before joining Bayern in 2019, the 19-year-old spent time as a youth player with Southampton and Chelsea. His first-team debut for the Bundesliga's top club will come in June 2020.

Since then, Musiala has made 85 appearances for his German team across all competitions, scoring 20 goals and dishing out nine assists. The important player for Bayern this season, the German international made seven appearances across all competitions and contributed five goals and two assists.

Musiala, who played youth football for England, has a contract with Allianz Arena through June 2026, but he recently hinted that he would transfer to the Premier League.

"Playing [my] whole career at FC Bayern? Many factors come together,"

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted the youngster as saying.

"I'm very happy at Bayern. You never know what will happen in six to seven years.

"Premier League? Really strong league, big stars go there. But... no idea, now I'm at Bayern. [It's a] super top club."

TEAM talk claims that Liverpool and Manchester United are closely monitoring the issue after learning that the player is willing to play in England once more. Musiala was likewise in excellent form for Bayern during the 2021-22 season, making 40 appearances across all competitions while recording eight goals and six assists.

For his Bundesliga team this year, the teenager has mostly played on the left, but he is also capable of playing as a centre attacking midfielder.

With the addition of Antony to their roster over the summer, Man United now has plenty of wide players to choose from on the right and left, adding players like Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Anthony Elanga, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho.

While Sadio Mane left Liverpool over the summer to join Bayern, Liverpool still has Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Fabio Carvalho as alternatives in the wide zones.

Musiala, who was born in Germany and lived there until he was seven years old before going to England with his family, played for Chelsea for eight years before quitting at the age of sixteen.

When Bayern plays Stuttgart in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon, the attacker will be attempting to build on his strong start to the year.
