Football News : Lewandowski open to joining PSG or Chelsea if Barca move fails

The Robert Lewandowski transfer saga continues with more clubs now showing interest in the 33-year-old forward. Now, Premier League club Chelsea and the French club Paris Saint Germain are also seeking a move for the Bayern Striker.

If his preferred deal to Barcelona falls through, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski allegedly would be open to joining either Chelsea or PSG.

After eight trophy-filled years in Germany and 344 goals in 375 games across all competitions, the 33-year-old has made it obvious that he wants to leave the Bundesliga heavyweights this summer.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s initial offer for Lewandowski was promptly rejected by Bayern. Thereafter, Barca president Joan Laporta recently told the media that the club planned to boost its offer to €50 million (£42 million).

However, Bild journalist Christian Falk asserts that if Barca's deal for Lewandowski falls through, both Chelsea and PSG would enter the competition for his signature and that if he is unable to move to Camp Nou, the striker would prefer to transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Following Romelu Lukaku's temporary transfer to Inter Milan, the Blues are looking for a striker in this summer's transfer market.

Thomas Tuchel's team, who are rumoured to have contacted the Poland international's representation, are optimistic about Lewandowski deal.

Meanwhile, despite their financial difficulties, Barcelona are still aiming to sign both Lewandowski and Leeds United attacker Raphinha.

While Leeds star is being valued at £60 million by the club which also might not be feasible for the Spanish club at the moment.

With Chelsea and PSG now entering the race for the Poland forward, Barcelona will have to make a quick offer in order to secure Lewandowski's signing.

Looking at the current scenario, one thing is certain that the Bayern Munich forward wants and will make a move away from the German club.

With the Pre-Season on the verge every team is looking to complete the deals as soon as possible so the clubs can prepare with their new roster and also set the tuning between the players.
