Football News : Bayern Munich keen on signing Tottenham’s Harry Kane

As the defending Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich prepares to make a play for the Tottenham Hotspur striker next summer, reports claim that they are intensifying their interest in Harry Kane.

In 15 appearances in all competitions for Spurs during the 2022-23 season, the 29-year-old has once again been in excellent form, scoring 10 goals and dishing out two assists.
However, Kane's deal with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is set to end in the summer of 2024, and rumours about his future have surfaced once more.

After failing to find a replacement for Robert Lewandowski after his summer transfer to Barcelona, Bayern is predicted to be looking for a new center-forward after the conclusion of the 2022-23 season.

The English captain is thought to be the German club's top target, and according to Sky Deutschland, the Bundesliga team has increased their interest in him. According to the source, the attacker is interested in moving to Allianz Arena because he wants to win some significant titles before his career comes to an end.

Kane is reportedly drawn to Bayern because of the new challenge they would present, despite the fact that he is trying to surpass Alan Shearer's Premier League scoring record.

The Spurs attacker is third on the list with 192 goals in England's top division, behind Wayne Rooney (208) and Shearer (260).

Prior to Wednesday's match against Manchester United, Kane had scored in each of his previous five Premier League contests. However, he went scoreless at Old Trafford as the Red Devils defeated them 2-0.

In the summer of 2021, Manchester City was frequently associated with the center-forward, but the Citizens were ultimately unable to afford a transfer for the Englishman.

While seriously pondering his future, Kane, who will lead his nation at this year's World Cup, is reportedly not in a haste to initiate contract discussions with Tottenham.

Teddy Sheringham, a former Man United forward, advised the club to "break the bank" to get Kane as it gets ready to add a new striker during the summer transfer window.

According to a recent rumour, senior authorities at the Allianz Arena are lobbying for the signing of Kane, and Bayern would be willing to spend in the neighbourhood of £87.5 million on him.

Despite his great goal totals, Kane has yet to bring home a trophy for Spurs, but he does have runners-up medals from the Champions League final in 2018 and the EFL Cup finals in 2014 and 2020.
