Football News : Barcelona given an ultimatum by Leeds United for the Raphinha deal

The Leeds United star and Brazilian playmaker Raphinha has been in the news for quite some time now. Many clubs are after the 25-year-old's signatures but the Leeds forward only want join the Spanish giants Barcelona.

Raphinha's asking price from Leeds United has apparently been told to be met by Barcelona as soon as feasible. The winger is permitted to go this summer after making an impression during his two years at Elland Road because Leeds is undergoing a rebuild under Jesse Marsch.

Due to the magnitude of the revamp, Marsch has already recruited five new hires, and Luis Sinisterra is anticipated to be the sixth. The Feyenoord attacker is seen of as a comparable Raphinha replacement, which makes Leeds more eager to complete the Brazilian's departure.

While some teams are willing to pay Leeds' asking price for the 25-year-old, Barcelona have yet to satisfy the Premier League team's requirements.

Reports claims that Leeds representatives have now requested that their Barcelona counterparts enhance their offer in order to close a deal. Although Chelsea has already agreed to pay Leeds' asking price, the player is reportedly more interested in moving to Camp Nou. And is willing to wait to fulfil what is being referred to as "a boyhood dream."

Leeds, who narrowly avoided being demoted to the Championship in May, want to move on with their own transfer activity, so that is not something that fits them.

It was previously asserted that Barcelona's bid consisted of several instalments, although Leeds wanted to recover as much of the transfer price as possible in one payment.

Barcelona's president, Joan Laporta, has already revealed that Leeds is the subject of negotiations between the La Liga team and Barcelona.

Speaking earlier this month, Laporta said:

"We have spoken to Leeds and I don't think they will be offended. We have communication. What happens is that there are other clubs who want Raphinha and they are making their proposals."

Deco, Raphinha's agent, has previously been spotted at the offices of the former as he continues to discuss conditions. Deco represented both Barcelona and Chelsea during his playing career.

Raheem Sterling, a winger for Manchester City, is about to be transferred to Chelsea in a deal that is anticipated to be worth more than £45 million.

However, it is not anticipated that their recruitment of the England international will preclude head coach Thomas Tuchel from bringing in another top player for the final third.
