Kedah moved up to second in the Malaysia Super League after edging Kuala Lumpur City FC 3-2 at home. After a goalless first half, Kuala Lumpur City FC took the lead twice only to lose everything in dramatic fashion. Kedah got a penalty in the second minute of added time and scored the winner in the sixth minute of added time. Both goals were scored by their Ivory Coast striker Tchetche Kipre as Kedah are now on 20 points from ten matches, three behind leaders Johor Darul Ta'zim, who have a game in hand and will face Terengganu.
